Strathcona County occurs as Specialized municipality in central Alberta, Canada between Edmonton and Elk Island National Park. These are located in Division No. 11. To a higher degree half of the people sleep in Sherwood Park, a large community east of Edmonton that has opted to retain hamlet status.

History
Number 1 officially recognized inside 1893 per territorial law-makers when Legislative act Labour District #2, Strathcona County has changed vastly since its origination. Around 1913 Legislative act Labour District #2 was renamed to Local Improvement District #517 (Clover Bar), which so, inside 1943, merged by using Local Improvement District #518 (Strathcona) to turn into Municipal District #83 (Strathcona). By joining by owning local school divisions inside 1962, Municipal District #83 officially became the county. County status was later revoked around 1995 once a County Work was was repealed per provincial law-makers, however was quickly returned around 1996 whilst a County of Strathcona #20 officially changed it's title to Strathcona County & recieved Specialized Municipality status.
